GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The ESDŽ Electro-Hydraulic
Power Module consist of an electrically driven pump motor,
control solenoid valves, speed controls and electrical enclosure
with controls and limit switch. It is designed to provide power
to a hydraulic torque mechanism consisting of a double acting
hydraulic piston that is used to position a pipeline valve to an
open or closed position on control signal. This system consists
of a scotch yoke double acting rotary torque mechanism, a motor
driven hydraulic pump and reservoir. A hydraulic accumulator
for stored energy, pressure gauge, start, stop, speed controls
and limit switches with direction indicator.
Actuator is shipped with
the hydraulic components attached to the actuator as well as
valve mounting hardware. This actuator requires an electrical
connection for 460/3/60 power and 24 VDC for control signal, it
will fail close on loss of control signal or power.
The power module contains
an electric motor driven gear pump unit that generates hydraulic
pressure for remote automatic operation; it is equipped with a
manual pump, which may be used to manually open the valve if no
power is available to operate the electric motor driven pump.
When AC power is available
the power unit automatically charges and maintains charge to the
hydraulic accumulator. Stored hydraulic energy from the
accumulator is used to operate the actuator. |
